July Meeting results

The Pioneer Clubs July activities were held yesterday, monday.
The theme for July, (aside from red/white/blue) was the saying of farwell to Pastor Harder and his wife Ruthe.

There was a singing parody/ comedy slide presentation about the two of them. I think everyone had a good time with that one.

Of course, there was more than enough great food for all to enjoy. How many times did u go up ? Lots of desserts too !!

Pastor Harder telling his jokes !!

Birthdays ! Here is Ruthe handing out the birthday cupcakes . Who will do it next month?

A large turnout too !

Thanks again , Pastor Harder, for 5 years of your time and devotion. Come back soon !

April meeting results

Our April meeting was a great celebration of the Easter (Spring) Season, with a box lunch and Crystal Rehn, owner of The Potting Shed, providing an interesting program on flower arrangements. See the pictures below this Blog.

There were over 35 members and friends in attendance to share the food and fellowship. The day began with a wonderful Easter devotion, planned by Iolyn Beers.

Looking ahead: The Pioneer Club will meet on May 14th and feature our excellent potluck lunch at 12:00 noon. Hostesses are Hazel Howe, Shirley Smith and Carolyn Poole.

There will be no formal program, so after lunch you will enjoy a time of fellowship and a few games of Bunco.

Also, keep July 9th on your calendar as that will be the date of our celebration of summer to be held at the Belvidere City Park.

Sincerely,
Ruth and Pastor John Harder

Pioneer Club News

Enjoy the beautiful spring weather as Easter approaches and plan on coming to Pioneer Club. Iolyn Beers has a special Easter devotion planned for us before the meal.

Our meeting on April 9th will have a wonderful theme for the day. Our presenter will be Crystal Rehn from The Potting Shed. Her program will involve spring flower arranging as well as hints on growing healthy house and garden varieties. They will provide a delicious box lunch (cost is $8.00). We need you to sign up on the bulletin board in the narthex. You can pay at the office or the day of the meeting.

Ruthe and I will be unable to be present for our May meeting. The Pioneer Club will meet on May 14th and feature our excellent potluck dinner. There will be no formal program (at the time of this writing), so after lunch enjoy a time of fellowship and games. If you have a special game you wish to play, bring it along!

Also, keep July 9th open (reserve it for the Pioneer Club meeting) as it will be the date of our Summer Celebration in the park.

Sincerely,
Pastor John Harder
